Sustainable Projects
Currently
Oleter Group's business model is centered on preserving the environment while offering maintenance plans and preventive measures to avoid and prevent future damage. Our mission is always to save as much material value as possible, minimize the need for new input materials, reduce waste, and cut down on energy consumption. We measure our environmental impacts on a project basis since 2021.
We have recently increased emissions per project - from 92 kg CO₂e/project in 2021 to 109 kg CO₂e/project - due to improved accuracy in reporting the number of consumed items. However, in 2022, we have taken steps to address this issue by conducting calculations that visualize the drivers of climate impact in our projects through graphs.
These calculations and graphs not only highlight the environmental impact but also the cost impact, allowing us to compare and optimize both parameters. Additionally, we have identified environmental and cost savings associated with remediation and dehumidification, as opposed to demolition, disposal, and restoration with new materials.
This transparency will create a wider understanding of the correlation between environmental savings and financial savings and improve the demand for more resource-efficient projects. For us, this is a given part of our aim to become more circular in our business model and strategy.
2026 Target
Oleter Group aims to reduce the climate impact in projects by at least 40% by 2026 from a 2020 baseline.
Progress
Note
Norway has not measured this key figure in previous years, and in 2022 the climate impact is 301 kg CO₂e / project. This is because they also restore a large part of the damage i.e. rebuilding, which Sweden does not do, hence the lower value in Sweden.
Denmark does not have any CO₂e values in projects yet. It will be implemented further on.
Actions
We plan on reaching our targets by increasing the use of low-energy dehumidifiers, increasing the usage of electric and emissions-free vehicles, and reducing the amount of waste in every project with a focus on reducing mixed waste.
